A native of South Carolina, I grew up with a love and respect for food that grew from my family's gardens and flourished in their kitchens.  I considered myself an avid outdoorsman, and traversing this great state from mountains to coast in search of fish and game has been a lifelong passion.  I am lucky to be married to a beautiful woman who shares my love of our community, music, cooking, food and life's adventure.  I am also blessed to be a step father to two wonderful little boys who now roam my grade school alma mater and let me pretend to coach baseball on fields where I too learned the game.  I am also very fortunate to have a yellow lab that still takes me for walks.  I graduated from Clemson University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management and was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. After graduation I spent time in Edisto Beach and Atlanta, GA.  I returned home in September of 2006 to become a community banker with First National Bank of SC where I am still employed.  Over the years, I have served on the IBSC young banker's board of directors and have graduated from South Carolina Bankers School.  I am excited for the opportunity to own a small business, and look forward to where this opportunity leads.

Growing up in South Carolina, I worked at different times for my father and uncle who owned dairy operations at one time or another. After high school, I attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton GA, where I received an Associates in Agricultural Technology with a major in Livestock Health, and then went on to obtain my bachelor’s degree from Clemson University in Animal Science with a major in Food Animal Business. I began working for a small dairy in the area while also working at the Clemson University as a full-time Agricultural Animal Associate, helping with teaching labs, overseeing student workers, and medicating animals among other duties on the Clemson research and teaching dairy farm. I currently oversee the herd portion of Landsdowne Dairy, LLC, and I am excited to take on my new role as production manager for the Creamery, and will continue to ensure sufficient milk supply is available to meet production goals.

I grew up on the family dairy farm, and was regularly involved in milking cows as well as local 4-H activities until I left for college. I attended Clemson University where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2002, and then with my Masters in Animal Physiology with an emphasis in Ruminant Nutrition in 2005. After graduation, I took a job with Newberry Feed and Farm, Inc. where I work at this time as a Staff Nutritionist. I currently handle the bookkeeping and payment of bills for Landsdowne Dairy, LLC, and handle other administrative and business functions of the dairy while relieving other employees in their duties as needed. I am excited about my new role as the Creamery’s general manager and salesman, and look forward to working with our potential customers.
